Washington State Women’s Commission is Recruiting Members

 WSWC is recruiting members for our HealthSafetyEconomic Well-Being, and new Fundraising Committees through July 31st, and we’d love your help spreading the word or joining us directly.

Our committees are essential to ensure that the voices of those closest to the problem are uplifted in the search for solutions. We’re looking to engage individuals with either professional expertise or lived experience that align with each committee’s priorities (outlined here: wswc.wa.gov/about-committees), and especially their focus areas for this fiscal year (outlined below).

This Year’s Focus Areas

  • Health: Bodily Autonomy & Reproductive RightsMenopause Education & Workplace SupportBirth Equity
  • Safety: Safe Use of Technology & Data PrivacyBudget Impact Assessment – State & Federal Budget Cuts
  • Economic Well-Being: Childcare AccessNon-Traditional Education: Financial Literacy, Digital Skills, Trades

 Members can expect to commit 4-6 hours to committee work each month, including attending a monthly virtual meeting.
